On June 5, 2020, the joint laboratory of advanced sealing materials and systems jointly established by the Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ningbo Tiansheng Sealing Parts Co., Ltd. held a grand opening ceremony at Tiansheng Company.

Leaders and units participating in the meeting include: All-Union Science and Technology Equipment Industry Chamber of Commerce, East China University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Clean Energy Research Institute, China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute, China Launch Vehicle Technology Research Institute, etc., as well as more than 50 people including leaders and experts from the Ningbo Municipal Government, Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Military-Civil Integration Office, Cixi Municipal Government, Cixi Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The meeting was hosted by the Cixi Municipal Government.

Li Runwei, Secretary of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented the Laboratory Director Visiting Researcher Certificate to Li Xinggen, Chairman of Tiansheng Sealing. Li Xinggen, chairman of Ningbo Tiansheng Sealing Co., Ltd., and Yang Guilin, deputy director of Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered speeches on the joint establishment of the laboratory. Representatives Qiao Xiaolin, Secretary-General of the All-Union Technology Equipment Industry Chamber of Commerce, and Zhang Shanming, Chairman of the Shenzhen Clean Energy Research Institute, delivered speeches. Academician Wang Yuming of Tsinghua University was specially invited to give a video speech at the meeting.
